This document introduces examples of measurement systems that determine the presence of hard bone contamination in meat products. Many meat processing centers conduct full inspections using soft X-rays to check for bone fragments in meat. However, if bone fragments are embedded within fat, they cannot be distinguished. Our analysis shows that when bone fragments are sliced by a meat slicer, there is a change in a specific frequency range (sound/vibration). By attaching a vibration sensor to the bearing part of the rotating blade, we can capture this slight change in vibration and determine the presence or absence of bone fragments through FFT 1/3 octave analysis. In representative testing devices, the frequency at which a red LED is gradually decreased from a 60Hz flicker until it can distinguish "flicker" is referred to as the flicker value. Generally, when a person is fatigued, the flicker value decreases. This value varies from person to person and also with age, so it cannot be used to evaluate fatigue in absolute terms; however, it can be used to assess fatigue in relative terms, such as before and after work. This judgment management system can assess mental and physical fatigue. Compared to other products, the testing time is shorter, allowing tests to be completed in about 1 minute, which is roughly 1/10 of the time. Data can be recorded on an SD card, enabling the recording of test data for multiple individuals (in CSV format).
